Our Logo and Motto

The Motto is “anchoring life”. The anchor in the Logo signifies support for accident victims. The snake signifies health care delivery - the primary modus operandi of LIFELINE Care Association.

Our Vision

Our life saving initiatives will be fully directed at Road Traffic Accident victims – both real and potential. This means that a significant part of our efforts will go into preventive schemes. Our design for an accident-aid and prevention outfit has both short and long-term goals.

SHORT TERM

  1. We act as first line of contact to victims who urgently need to pass information on to relatives. We maintain a 24-hour alert office in order to enable persons coming across victims notify LIFELINE.
  2. Creating awareness about the risks and dangers of road travel-the respective roles of motorists,
passengers and pedestrians. We do this by organizing seminars, workshops and by donating Road/Danger signs.
  3. We donate First Aid Materials to designated LIFELINE Care Centers (LCCs). These centers are monitored by properly trained paramedical personnel.
  4. We defray the cost of surgery for accident victims within the limits of available resources

LONG TERM

  1. Eventually, we intend to get our Programmes entrenched in the curricular of schools by creating LIFELINE clubs in schools worldwide. We would pursue it’s adoption in the training Programmes of relevant government agencies.
  2. Where possible, we shall donate prothesis (materials such as artificial limbs etc) to those needing them.
  3. We intend to run an effective and efficient blood bank that meets the highest international standards. This would service emergency cases and meet acute needs especially those involving rare blood groups.
  4. Where an accident has resulted in irreversible injury, we intend to assist by providing alternative training that makes occupational rehabilitation possible.
  5. We visualize the establishment of mobile ambulances on “notorious” highways. This scheme will
ultimately incorporate the construction of “LIFELINE Rest Spots” for weary travellers. We fully appreciate that travellers will not be able to use this facility unless they are well run and almost cost free.

Our Mission

Our general objective is to combat or reverse the spectre of soaring mortality
rates among victims of Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Street Violence, Natural Disaster and Domestic Brutality. Our main thrust however, will be Road Traffic Accident Victims.
